Registrations will be on Thurs., April 26 from 6–8 p.m., Sat., May 5 from 10 a.m.–noon. All registrations will be received in the pool area. These two registration dates will be the only dates to try on swim suits and spirit wear. Information and early registration will be available on our website in March 2012. Fees needed are a swim team fee and the cost of being a Hempfield Rec Center member to participate in this program. The Swim Team Fee is $65 early-bird (register by May 23); $80 fee after May 23. Information and membership applications will be available at each of the registration sessions regarding Hempfield Rec Center summer swim team membership. Any swimmer who is not a Hempfield Rec Center member will not be permitted to attend swim practices or meets until membership is taken care of.
Reputation
1We have a good reputation within the Hempfield community as a well run organization with a responsible and well managed team. For us it’s not just about swimming. Its life lessons, not just from the coaches, not just from the parents, but from the other swimmers as well.
Success
2Our coaches will never put your child into an event or situation where your child does not have a chance to succeed. It is important to our coaches that our swimmers know that it’s all about the experience. We want your child to succeed and to continue to swim for a lifetime.
Mentors
3We have been fortunate to have, over the years, older swimmers take on the responsibility of role model and mentor for our younger swimmers. As mentors, they help the younger swimmers not only with swimming, but to see how much fun it is to be a part of our team.
Community
4We carpool to meets together. We have a team buddy program. Many parents come and watch their children at practice and meets. When you do these things you get to know the parents, coaches, and swimmers and you quickly realize we are a community, not just another recreation program.
